Jamcracker's Steve Crawford Presenting at ITEXPO East 2012

There is very little doubt that 2012 is going to be a very big year for cloud storage. Bearing that in mind, it makes perfect sense that the vice president of Marketing and Business Development for one of the top cloud storage firms in the country will be making a presentation at ITEXPO East 2012 this week. Jamcracker's Steve Crawford will give a presentation that will include an exploration of the the requirements of operation for Cloud Service Brokerages when it comes to service providers in the coming years.
Among the topics he is expected to touch, Crawford will talk about segmenting and focusing on the actual market so that cloud storage customers look at these firms as if they were a partner. This is a rather large point to make when it comes to the next few years. More and more people are looking to adopt cloud storage but they want that storage to be as secure as it can possibly be.
Crawford is also expected to talk about how cloud storage brokers are appearing to be the new “IT” service providers as more companies house most or all of their storage off site. Where companies used to have to employ a crew of IT professionals to manage their databases, cloud storage brokerages are making that particular need almost disappear. The best cloud storage firms have a huge in-house staff of professionals that their clients trust to make sure their data is safe and secure.
Crawford will also make a presentation pressing upon those in attendance that various service providers must OSS back office to scale rapidly, most likely by using a commercial cloud brokerage firm. Crawford will also demonstrate what requirements are present for service providers in the OSS environment. Having a list of what they need to know will allow these service providers to deliver better cloud storage solutions that can not only be rolled out quicker but will be easier to upgrade as this particular tech sector grows.
