MSP Nerds Support Chooses OS33 Cloud Services Platform

March 30, 2011

OS33, a cloud-based IT-as-a-Service (ITaaS) platform provider for MSPs, has announced a new partner in Nerds Support, a provider of complete technology solutions for small to medium-sized businesses. The OS33 offerings will help Nerds Support adopt and sell scalable, customized and cost-effective cloud-based service offerings.

Florida-based Nerds Support has gone from demoing offerings to picking up new cloud-based customers in just under a month, thanks to the partnership with OS33 and the company's Quick Start Partner Program.

The process, which would typically take several months, enabled the company to quickly transition to selling and deploying cloud services to new prospects within a few weeks. Nerds Support was able to shorten its sales cycle and provide an almost instant, in-demand comprehensive cloud-based services catalog for clients.

Nerds Support was interested in offering cloud-computing solutions to enable its customers to share, edit and publish documents via a unified system with improved communications, enhanced business processes and increased marketability. The company originally sought to create an in-house solution via a Citrix application, but turned to a managed offering from OS33 that would provide the full-featured cloud computing IT delivery automation platform it was seeking.

The managed services platform from OS33 enables MSPs to provision and deliver hosted IT solutions to thousands of end users, transforming raw computing resources from the OS33 cloud or an MSP's own private infrastructure into business-ready Web and Windows applications, as well as desktop hosting solutions for customers.

MSPs may add and provision new clients quickly with hosted business applications from a software catalog as well as third-party SaaS offerings, in addition to integrated Citrix hosting and collaboration tools. OS33 offers tracking, billing and chargeback, ticketing and reporting to ensure their MSP partnerships are profitable and efficient.

"Any MSP not in the cloud service market will quickly be obsolete," said Scott Richman, founder of Nerds Support. "With OS33, there is no more waiting to get to the cloud. Customers don't have to worry about licensing, they always have the best technology available and they can access their applications anywhere, anytime with an Internet connection. No one else could deliver what OS33 offered so why re-invent the wheel when you can just make it faster?"

Richman said he was also interested in integrating OS33 with Nerd Support's own grid as well as the simple branding of the service, which enabled the company to incorporate OS33's Webtop GUI as its own branded solution.

"We were able to get Nerds Support up and running on the OS33 platform in no time and allowed them to provide a quick and accessible path to the cloud for their customers without the cost and complexity of other offerings," said Jacob Kazakevich, president of OS33. "Within 24 hours, we can provide new Quick Start partners with a branded OS33 demo environment offering immediate go-to-market capability to sell cloud services. Once Quick Start partners have acquired new clients and are ready to go live, we transition access to a full production environment. Nerds Support's success in diving into the cloud marketplace is a strong testament to our ability to provide MSPs with an innovative, quick-to-market solution."
