AppAssure Announces Record Revenue and Expansion into Global MSP Market in Q1 2011
May 03, 2011
AppAssure Software has announced continued strong momentum for Q1 of 2011, with record revenue, staff expansion and a deeper extension into the Managed Service Provider (MSP) market as well as international expansion throughout Europe. The company reports revenue growth of 162 percent, making this the 16th consecutive quarter of nonstop quarter-over-quarter revenue growth.
AppAssure also added 1,000 new customers during Q1. The company achieved additional milestones as well, including significant sales momentum through a number of MSP partnerships. It announced Replay4 for MSPs, available as a standalone software application or as an integrated plug-in for the Kaseya management console.
The company saw marked sales penetration through its MSP channels in Q1, as well as extended sales and marketing efforts in the EMEA region. AppAssure also extended its sales and marketing staff and efforts to expand international growth even more during the quarter. Customer support was expanded to 24x7x365 to enhance responsiveness and availability for customers.
Aztech IT, one of the company's newest UK-based MSP customers, appreciates the importance of fast local and offsite recovery of mission-critical applications.
“Yes, we can recover any failed application server quickly and easily for you, both locally and remotely -- with minimal downtime and data loss,” said Sean Houghton, Aztech co-founder and director.
“Small businesses have the same business continuity and disaster recovery needs as larger clients, but solutions haven't always been practical, reliable, or affordable for us to recommend them to clients. We use Kaseya, and neither Symantec nor Acronis worked for us. Replay opened up the new markets to us completely. We can now go out and say, we've got a DR solution for you in AppAssure's Replay,” he continued.
“Traditional tape backup solutions are limited in their ability to adequately provide rapid recovery and business continuity especially for small and medium-sized customers,” said Robert Amatruda, research director of Data Protection and Recovery at IDC. “Customers are demanding next-generation data protection solutions that streamline backup processes, reduce backup windows and protect their applications in the event of a server failure or a data center disaster.”
“This was another exceptional quarter for our company,” said Najaf Husain, president and CEO of AppAssure. “We are seeing incredible demand for our innovative next generation backup and disaster recovery software solution fueled by the fact that we deliver higher value, more robust features and more simplified management for companies that need to protect their entire Microsoft Windows applications servers, not just the data. We are looking forward to continuing this success throughout the remainder of 2011.”
AppAssure is offering a free 14-day Replay 4 software trial through their website.
