eGestalt's Latest Compliance Management Solution Aimed at MSPs
August 16, 2011
Santa Clara, Calif.-based eGestalt Technologies recently launched version 11 of its hallmark security and compliance management solution, SecureGRC. The remediation, auditing and risk assessment tool was designed, in part, to enable managed service providers (MSPs) to tap into additional revenue streams while they confirm and sustain HIPAA/HITECH and PCI compliance mandates.
Specifically, eGestalt says that its SecureGRC solution gives MSPs the ability to find new bundling opportunities and add-on services during their compliance assessments.
“During the course of taking a client through the steps of becoming HIPAA compliant, the SecureGRC tool sniffs out revenue-making bundling opportunities like nothing else I’ve seen,” David Altizer, vice president of SOS Systems and an eGestalt partner, noted in a statement.
“We invariably discover multiple areas that need our attention; we find our clients need written policies, they need endpoint security, they need Active Directory, and a host of other things that improves our perceived value and length of engagement,” he added.
The cloud-based service, which is available in both small business and enterprise editions, includes pre-audit and post-audit support and a real-time dashboard that provides multiple reviews, assessments and remediation. In addition, SecureGRC can generate risk and compliance reports on demand.
The dashboard displays the risk and compliance status of each client in a singular and centralized view, enabling MSPs and other channel partners to easily establish the steps that need to be taken for their clients to remain compliant, says eGestalt channel chief Jim Hare.
SecureGRC is loaded with best practices, assessments questions and continuously updated policies to help enterprises and SMBs to reach compliance. The small business version, with an MSRP of $750 per year, provides self-assessment tools and scalable compliance management capabilities.
Meanwhile, the enterprise edition provides self assessment tools, along with pre-audit and audit support and a more customizable and robust solution for today’s larger organizations. The enterprise version costs $7,500 per year.
Both solutions are completely cloud-based, meaning MSPs don’t need to worry about managing any complex hardware or software deployments.
