N-able Technologies Announces MSP Partnerships at Annual Partner Summit
October 13, 2011
In order to continue its efforts of stimulating market adoption and help MSPs achieve greater success, N-able Technologies, a provider of remote monitoring and management (RMM) automation software for managed service providers (MSPs) and IT departments, has announced a new investment initiative designed to increase its sales in the MSP market.
The new initiative, which was announced at the company’s annual Partner Summit, being held Oct. 12-14 in Phoenix, Ariz., is intended to fuel MSP sales by further eliminating the traditional barriers that prevent SMBs from adopting managed services.
"In the year since our last partner summit, we've been in a tremendous growth mode, in part due to the freemium release last fall that helped stimulate 175 percent growth with our SMB base since January 2010," said N-able CEO Gavin Garbutt, during his keynote address at the Partners Summit. "Now, we're investing even more heavily into the technology and our partners to take that growth forward to the next level in the coming year."
The new initiative includes several key components including the distribution of $100 million in N-central Essential licenses to enable MSPs to manage all their customer devices at no cost and achieve 100 percent IT coverage with existing and new customers. N-able’s investment will also provide a new IT reporting solution, Report Manager that helps MSPs easily demonstrate technical and business value to SMBs. Additionally, the new solution will offer new freemium offerings, including N-able's Security Manager, Anti-Spam and Policy Manager and GPO Enforcer tools.
"Our mission is to win the hearts and minds of our partners and their technicians by delivering continual product innovation. The VMware certification included in N-central 8.1, enhanced remote control capabilities, and the Connect2Help systray icon tool -- not to mention a first glimpse of our Advanced Automation Manager -- are proof of this commitment," said Garbutt.
At the Summit, Garbutt also announced its tiered freemium program that offers incentives to new and existing partners. One of those incentives allows any partner with 250 N-able Professional licenses, or a new partner purchasing 250 Professional licenses, to receive 5,000 Essential licenses, enabling all partners to capture any outstanding elements of their customers' environments, according to N-able.
"We're the poster boy for N-able's freemium model. We've had success in selling endpoint security and we've given those customers a free Essential license for basic management of a wide variety of devices as well. We also do this for our clients with smaller contracts to add even greater business value," Bill Boisvenue, president of BSC Solutions Group, said of N-able’s efforts to stimulate market adoption. "I'm excited to see where we can take our business in the New Year with the advantage provided by the next phase of N-able's freemium Essential offering."
