OS33 Enables Easy Integration with Google Apps for Business for MSPs
January 17, 2012
Managed service delivery of unified communications applications has just gotten easier thanks to a new partnership between OS33 and Google. Managed service providers (MSPs) using the OS33 IT-as-a-Service Delivery Platform will now be able to integrate Google Apps for Business to easily offer a host of managed services to their customers.
OS33 announced integration with Google Apps, which will enable businesses to deliver, manage and consume services as part of a unified IT solution. Services include Microsoft Windows and SaaS applications and are accessed from any device and browser through the OS33 flagship Webtop, a web-based desktop.
MSPs can now integrate Google Apps’ email, calendar and collaboration tools as part of their cloud computing offerings, giving them a competitive advantage. Google Apps may be easily deployed along with their other IT assets through the OS33 management interface.
The Webtop interface enables users to log into a browser-based portal to gain access to all their IT services through a single unified interface. They may access a summary of their Gmail and Calendar activities while also seamlessly interacting with other IT services and resources.
The Google Apps integration also enables users to automatically provision and manage Google Apps accounts through the OS33 Self Service Management tools. Single Sign-On Access is also featured, offering end users easy access to their Google Apps accounts along with their other IT services through one password. Data tags like employee directory information are also supported, enabling easy synchronization of user information with Google Apps.
“Choosing Google Apps can be a transformative event for many businesses entering the cloud era, but in many cases Google Apps alone is not the entire IT stack,” said Alex Osipov, CTO of OS33. “Companies also need line-of-business applications, network security, data mobility and more to run their business.”
“The IT complexity required to take full advantage of cloud benefits is not something most SMBs can deliver and maintain in-house,” added Osipov. “With OS33’s unified IT platform, CIOs can deliver Google Apps with all other IT resources via a single interface, all accessible in the cloud. We’ve removed all the complexity, and have taken out all the customer risk associated with going cloud. That’s extremely powerful.”??
“Many LevelCloud partners and their customers rely on Google Gmail, Calendar and Docs as a low cost alternative to Microsoft Exchange,” said Biren Shukla, CEO of California-based LevelCloud, a cloud solutions provider powered by OS33. “This integration allows businesses to leverage existing investments in Google Apps which I think is a huge value-added proposition. OS33 provides a solution that integrates Google’s product suite as part of its complete unified IT platform, satisfying the demand for Google products, while also providing additional cost savings and efficiencies through OS33’s automated management and provisioning tools.”
