ScienceLogic Wins Prestigious MSPWorld Cup Award at MSPWorld Conference and Expo

February 08, 2012

The highly coveted MSPAlliance MSPWorld Cup Award was presented to ScienceLogic at the 2012 MSPWorld Conference and Expo in Miami last week. The prestigious award recognizes technology enabling companies that have consistently demonstrated their best efforts to advance the cause of managed service providers (MSPs) throughout the world.

ScienceLogic won for its IT operations and cloud management platform. The company's philosophy is simple -- their platform is designed to provide a holistic IT operations management solution. It was created to offer scalability, security, automation and high availability to simplify the management of fluctuating resources and data.

The ScienceLogic platform not only monitors multiple operating systems, vendors and platforms, it also supports globally dispersed network operations for both service providers and large enterprises. The platform is agnostic to where resources reside, be it in a data center, in a private or public cloud or in a mobile or remote location.

It features a runback automation engine, built-in redundancy for high availability and advanced chargeback and cost allocation functionality. It also offers a decentralized monitoring architecture that ensures security from the core to the edge for monitoring individual devices. The solution is geared toward enabling customers to monitor all their assets, whether they do it from a computer, tablet or smartphone.

The MSPAlliance is committed to being a unified voice for the managed services industry, and is comprised of more than 15,000 member companies. It offers the industry's only accreditation program and code of ethics, and is the largest professional association and accrediting body for MSPs.

"Being voted as the best enabling technology by attending MSPs is a direct result of a burning need by service providers to gain control over increasingly complex data center and cloud environments," said David Link, CEO of ScienceLogic. "We are driven to eliminate the paralysis created by management technology that wasn't designed specifically for service provider needs. Our platform allows an aggressive pursuit of growth opportunities by making it extraordinarily simple to introduce new services."

"We are pleased that ScienceLogic has been recognized for their achievements and hard work in the managed services profession," said Charles Weaver, CEO of MSPAlliance. "Without these technologies and tools, the managed service provider community throughout the world would not be able to deliver their solutions and services effectively. The MSPWorld Cup Awards were created so that the MSP community the world over could easily identify those companies that have been recognized for having the best enabling technology in their respective fields."

The ScienceLogic platform also recently received the Cloud Computing Excellence Award from TMC and Cloud Computing magazine. The company's solution was awarded because of the platform's ability to offer service providers and corporations’ visibility into as well as control over their cloud-based resources and their data center infrastructures, all from one unified management console.

The Cloud Computing Excellence Awards are designed to recognize those companies that have most effectively leveraged cloud computing in an effort bring new and differentiated offerings to the marketplace.

“Recognizing leaders in the advancement of cloud computing, TMC is proud to announce ScienceLogic as a recipient of the first Cloud Computing Excellence Award,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. “The ScienceLogic platform has demonstrated innovation as well as the ability to improve cloud management.”
